A wine is a place, captured at a moment in time.
We do not recreate it. We preserve it. Patience does the rest.
My wines, delivered anywhere in Switzerland, or to collect in Lausanne, Chexbres or Gstaad.
Celler Laurona, founded in 1999 by René Barbier · Wine Spectator Top 100 in 2002 · run since 2018 by Fiona Fischer
Welcome to my home.
I am Swiss. In 2014, I left Switzerland for La Figuera, a village of old vines in the Montsant, and fell in love with this land. There I learnt to tend the vines alongside René Barbier. In 2018, he entrusted his estate to me.
I kept his old vines and his wines for ageing. With Galilea by Fiona, I added my own voice: wines tied to a particular place. Here I tell you about the years behind each bottle, and every gift can be sent with a card carrying your message.
“Nature speaks, I translate.”

We are not selling a vintage. We are opening a library.
From Cronos 2007 to Pythagora 2020, every bottle carries the date of its harvest and the years it has spent in our cellar. We have carried the cellar time for you. Take a bottle from the shelf.

Swipe to stroll along the shelves. The Laurona library, as an illustration.

Start with Mític 2016, the most open today. Open 2014 alongside, and taste what two more years do to the same wine.

Nautilea 2017

From summit to shore
Pythagora comes from the high slopes of La Figuera, the village where it all began for me. Nautilea comes from Maimó, near Darmós, at 120 m above sea level, on the lower slope facing the Mediterranean.
The diversity of the Montsant’s terroirs
The Montsant encircles the Priorat like a ring: villages, altitudes and soils that differ greatly within a few kilometres of one another. Each vineyard brings its own voice to the blends.

The soils
Limestone, clay, granite and slate: from one plot to the next, the soil changes, and the wine changes with it.

The altitudes
From the high slopes of La Figuera down to Maimó, at 120 m: the same Grenache becomes tension or sunshine.

The villages
La Figuera, Darmós, Falset and other villages: each has its own character, and we age them separately.

The sea and the mountains
The Montsant range to the north, the Mediterranean to the south: the freshness of the heights and the warmth of the sea in a single glass.
